Reasons to Teach Your Toddler to Read
Many parents do not even think about teaching their child to read until they may be 5 or 6 years
old. What a waste of important brain development. From birth to age 5 your child's brain is
developing at an amazing rate. So what does that mean? It means that children up to the age of 5
are able to learn terminology, math, science or whatever you decide to teach them with ease and
speed. Kids that experience language at an early age are able to read well before they even enter
school. Never again will learning be as easy for your child as it is during the first 5 years of life.

When your baby becomes a toddler they will most likely have a language explosion. You will
notice that your baby will begin to go from communicating in single words to key phrases and
then complete content. During this same time period you can also commence how to teach a
toddler to read. Infants and toddlers are programmed to learn language. This is a primary
function of the mind at birth. All dialects are foreign to your baby when they are born, but the
brain has the capability of learning any and many languages as long as the child is exposed to
that language in this critical period of development. This is often any language and includes
written language, which is the ability to read, and sign vocabulary.
Many parents would like to take benefit of this era of development and introduce international
languages to their child. This can be difficult for anyone that is not bilingual. Do not despair
though. If you know how to read, you can teach your toddler to read as well. This is simple and
fun to do.
Teaching your young child to read is easy.
During this time period of development in your toddler's life, they are able to learn best reading
program for children. Learning to speak requires input. Your toddler needs to hear language in
order to speak the language properly. Your toddler needs to see language to learn how to read
easily and effortlessly. By starting with single words in a huge, bold font, you can start teaching
your toddler to see hundreds of words. Most toddlers really enjoy participating in this activity
