2. SOME TYPES OF WAR
Holy/Religious wars- This is where religious people
argue that their religion is better or tells the people
to fight.
A conventional war is where weapons such as
nuclear or biological weapons are used. A
unconventional war is where they are.
Geographical wars are the places war takes place
such as the jungle, artic, desert and mountain.
3. RULES OF JUST WAR
Must only be used as a last resort
Can only be fought with a reason i.e. self defence.
Must be able to establish peace in the end.
4. PACIFISM
Pacifism is where you do not believe war should
break out under any circumstances.
Pacifists can also be known as Conscientious
Objectors.
In 1916 pacifists were either punished or
imprisoned.
5. WHY WE NEED PUNISHMENTS
We need punishment as people should pay for the
things they have done wrong. There are many
different ways people can get punished. Some of
these are capital punishment and jail.
6. CAPITAL PUNISHMENT
Capital punishment is where a criminal is killed for
the things they have done wrong.
One way of this is by lethal injection
Christians do not believe in capital punishment as
they believe it is wrong to take another persons life
7. AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Amnesty international work to help people
recognise their human rights,
They help people who are being treated unfairly
and not by their human rights.
It began in 1961.
They also help to inspire peoples hope for a better
world.
