PEACE && WAR
Leah Thompson
SOME TYPES OF WAR
Holy/Religious wars- This is where religious people

argue that their religion is better or tells the people
  to fight.
 A conventional war is where weapons such as
nuclear or biological weapons are used. A
unconventional war is where they are.
 Geographical wars are the places war takes place
such as the jungle, artic, desert and mountain.
RULES OF JUST WAR
Must only be used as a last resort


 Can only be fought with a reason i.e. self defence.

 Must be able to establish peace in the end.
PACIFISM
Pacifism is where you do not believe war should

  break out under any circumstances.
 Pacifists can also be known as Conscientious
  Objectors.
 In 1916 pacifists were either punished or
  imprisoned.
WHY WE NEED PUNISHMENTS
We need punishment as people should pay for the

things they have done wrong. There are many
different ways people can get punished. Some of
these are capital punishment and jail.
CAPITAL PUNISHMENT
Capital punishment is where a criminal is killed for

the things they have done wrong.
 One way of this is by lethal injection

 Christians do not believe in capital punishment as
they believe it is wrong to take another persons life
AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Amnesty international work to help people

  recognise their human rights,
 They help people who are being treated unfairly
and not by their human rights.
 It began in 1961.

 They also help to inspire peoples hope for a better
  world.
