New York is a state in the Northestern United States and is
the 27th-most expensive,fourth-most populous, and
seventh-most densely populated U.S. state. New York is
bordered by New Jersey and Pennssylvania to the
south and Connecticut,Massachusetts and Vermont to
the east. The state has a maritime border in the Atlantic
Ocean with Rhode Island, east of Long Island, as well as
an international border with the Canadian provinces
of Quebec to the north and Ontario to the west and
north. The state of New York, with an estimated 19.8
million residents in 2015, is often referred to as New York
State to distinguish it from New York City, the state's
most populous city and its economic hub.

New York City is the most populous city in
the United States.Located at the southern tip of
the State of New York, the city is the center of
the New York metropolitan area,one of the most
populous urban agglomerations in the world. A

Chinatown; the neighborhood around the
intersections of Canal and Mott Streets
downtown contains one of the largest
concentrations of Chinese living outside of
Asia. It could be more accurately called
Asiatown as it now includes many immigrants
from Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and
other Asian countries. Chinatown is famous for
its reasonably priced restaurants featuring
Chinese cuisine, its Asian grocery stores, and
its unique Oriental gift shops.

New York City is one of the world's
great fashion capitals. Luxurious
boutiques, designer flagships and
fast-fashion emporiums offer stylish
goods in every corner of the five
boroughs. Runway shows lend the start
of every season a theatrical grandeur,

exclusive collaborations and sample

New York Fashion Week, held in February and September of
each year, is a semi-annual series of events (generally lasting
7–9 days) when international fashion collections are shown
to buyers, the press and the general public. It is one of four
major fashion weeks in the world, collectively known as the
"Big 4", along with those in Paris,London and Milan . The
Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) created
the modern notion of a centralized “New York Fashion
Week” in 1993, although cities like London were already
using their city’s name in conjunction with the words
“fashion week” in the 1980s. NYFW is based on a much
older series of events called “Press Week”, founded in 1942.

15. TOURISTIC PLACES OF NY
Times Square; there's no better place to experience the
excitement of New York than Times Square. Surrounded by
neon lights, giant billboards, Broadway theaters, electronic
ticker tape and television studios, Times Square is truly the
heart of Midtown. The TKTS Discount Booth (where theater
tickets are sold at up to 50% off face value) is topped with a
giant red staircase, open to visitors daily until 1am. Walk to
the top of the steps and you'll be rewarded with a sweeping
view of the area, including the site of the annual New Year's
Eve Ball Drop. Elsewhere in Times Square, the City has
created several new pedestrian-only zones furnished with
tables and chairs, perfect for people-watching. The
neighborhood is central to Midtown West, located near the
Theatre District and Broadway shows.

attractions, Central Park is a must-see for anyone visiting
the five boroughs. Whether experienced during a fresh
snowfall in the winter, the spectacular floral blossoms in
spring, the steamy days of summer or the gorgeous, leaf-
turning months of fall, Central Park is a sight to behold.
Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux
between 1858 and 1873 and currently maintained by the
Central Park Conservancy, the 843-acre park is an urban
oasis of trees, gardens, rolling meadows, arches, sculptures,
statues and vistas. The range of outdoor activities you can
enjoy there is seemingly endless, from hiking, biking and
ice-skating to simply lounging on a picnic blanket and

17. The Empire State Building; is one of the most iconic
landmarks in a city full of them. The tallest building
in New York City has appeared in over 90 movies,
and is the key piece of the NYC Skyline. The
Empire State Building in New York City stands
1454 feet tall and is currently the 9th tallest building
in the world and the 4th tallest freestanding
structure in the Americas.. This NY monument has
102 stories, and was the first building to every have
more than 100 stories. The Empire State Building
NYC was also named the 7th wonder of the world
by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The
7th world wonder has attracted 120 million people
to its New York observatories. That is nearly 3.6
million visitors a year!
19. FOOD TRADITIONAL
Along with the Statue of Liberty, yellow cabs
and skyscrapers, food is a quintessential
component of New York City. The city's status
as a cultural melting pot means you can eat
your way across the globe within the confines

New York is part of the United States, and its largest
city, New York City, is regarded as one of the major
centers for music in the world.
The music of New York City includes a wide variety of
hip-hop,soul,salsa,rock and electronic musicand pp
music, and crosses all (five) borough lines. Jazz in the
city is in more-isolated spots in the boroughs outside
Manhattan, but is mainly concentrated in the
legendary Greenwich Village mecca.

Robert De Niro (born in New York City, on August 17, 1943) is an American actor and
producer who has starred in over 90 films. Robert got his first taste of acting at
age 10 when he played the Cowardly Lion in his school’s production of The
Wizard of Oz. He immediately became enamored with performing and dropped
out of high school at 16-years-old to pursue acting. He studied acting at the
Stella Adler Conservatory, as well as Lee Strasberg’s Actors Studio. Robert’s
first major film roles were in the sports drama Bang the Drum Slowly (1973) and
Martin Scorsese’s crime film Mean Streets(1973). In 1974, after being turned
down for the role of Sonny Corleone in the crime film The Godfather (1972), he
was cast as the young Vito Corleone in The Godfather Part II (1974), for which he
won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Robert won a second
Academy Award, this time for Best Actor, for his portrayal of Jake LaMotta

Christina Aguilera was born in December, 1980. She is a highly
successful singer and songwriter. She signed a recording
contract with RCA Records after recording the song ‘Reflection’
for the 1998 Disney film ‘Mulan’. She is popular with Latin and
English-speaking audiences. Aguilera is known for her
extraordinary vocal range. Celine Dion described her as
"probably the best vocalist in the world”.
Aguilera was born in New York and had a troubled childhood. She
suffered physical and emotional abuse from her father. As a
child, Aguilera desperately wanted to be a singer. One of her
biggest influences was the musical ‘The Sound of Music’. She
sang in local talent shows and people called her "the little girl
with the big voice."
As a youngster, Aguilera sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" in front
of tens of thousands at major sporting events in Pittsburgh. Her
first major role came in 1993 when she joined a Disney Channel
