This document discusses using e-portfolios for professional development through the software Pebblepad. It outlines how e-portfolios can be used to record skills, evidence of learning, experiences, and regular reflection. Students can structure their own personal profiles, attach files, log activities, and receive feedback. E-portfolios allow for iterative feedback conversations between students and instructors. Instructors can provide grades and external assessors like workplace mentors can also comment. Both portfolio and workbook structures are discussed, with portfolios allowing more freedom and workbooks providing more scaffolding. Feedback is sought on sample industrial placement workbooks.
