2013, initiative in collaboration between The Swedish National
Resource center for deafblindness and The Audiological
Research center.
Overview of scientific articles within the field of deafblindness.
Provides, author/s, title, scientific journal, and abstract for the
included articles.
4. Process
Systematic searches in nine scientific databases, Pub Med,
CINAHL, PsychInfo…
Searches in databases are conducted using combinations of
keywords within, hearing, vision, specific diagnosis…
Inclusion criteria's are peer-reviewed scientific articles within
the field of deafblindness regardless of discipline.
Articles are reviewed with consideration to title and abstract.
5. Categories
Articles that meet the inclusion criteria's are further categorized
in 17 different categories, such as, communication, diagnosis
and rehabilitation.

6. The 2019 update
The latest update lead to the inclusion of approximately 200
articles, and up to date the research overview includes 3900
scientific articles.

text, if not it can be retrieved by the help from a library.
