This document contains 10 lessons learned from owning and operating mobile home communities over many decades. The lessons include hiring managers that think like landlords, running the company like a franchise, having an independent auditor review communities, sending statements from a central office, properly allocating assets when buying new communities, keeping sales information private, giving to local charities, maintaining relationships with other owners, and getting involved in state owner associations. It also lists the years several "Mom and Pop" owned communities were operated before being sold.
