Dear Handbell Director:
I hope this letter finds you well and looking forward to another year of ringing. The Nineteenth Annual Las
Vegas Twelfth Night Handbell Festival will be on Saturday, January 15 and 16, the Martin Luther King
weekend. Back to our normal Saturday, Sunday schedule.
Our Festival will be held at SOUTH POINT HOTEL, CASINO AND SPA, CONVENTION CENTER on
Las Vegas Blvd South and Silverado Ranch.
Tim Waugh of West Virginia will be our Festival Director again by popular request. Known nationally and
internationally to performers of many mediums including choral music, handbell, theatre and church music.
Come as a choir or an individual ringer bringing your own bells and music. We will set aside for orphan ringers
participating.
Music is Level 2+ to 3, with a Level 4 to stretch your ringers’ ability. Pick the music that your choir is most
comfortable with. If you cannot ring all of them. As usual, four pieces from last year is recycled and there will
be four new ones including a new commission piece.
Enclosed is the registration form for the 12th Night Festival, the music List and Solo Performance registration
for choirs that would like to play a Solo.
Send in your registration early for the early bird rate before November 15, 2010. For further information you
can contact me by phone 1-702-363-7428, e-mail JYTY@aol.com or Dixie Bailey by phone 1-702-431-9759, or
e-mail dxbail@embarqmail.com.
This year everything will be at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa. Hotel rooms, places to eat. No need to
go out. A toll free number will be given to you with a special code to make your reservations. You will
absolutely love this venue from last year.
We have allowed plenty of time for you to visit the Strip, and everything that is going around. After the
Concert on Sunday, you will have plenty of time to drive home, no rushing, knowing the next day is a holiday.
We have great plans for 2012 again at the same venue, and weekend of Martin Luther King to celebrate our 20th
Twelfth Night. I am working on having an orchestra play with us for the big celebration.
