DiscussionMany of us can think of leaders we have come to admire, be they historical
figures, pillars of the industry we work in, or leaders we know personally. The leadership of
individuals such as Abraham Lincoln and Margaret Thatcher has been studied and
discussed repeatedly. However, you may have interacted with leaders you feel
demonstrated equally competent leadership without ever having a book written about their
approaches. What makes great leaders great? Every leader is different, of course, but one
area of commonality is the leadership philosophy that great leaders develop and practice. A
leadership philosophy is basically an attitude held by leaders that acts as a guiding principle
for their behavior. While formal theories on leadership continue to evolve over time, great
leaders seem to adhere to an overarching philosophy that steers their actions. What is your
leadership philosophy? In this Assignment, you will explore what guides your own
leadership. To Prepare:Identify two to three scholarly resources, in addition to this Module’s
readings, that evaluate the impact of leadership behaviors in creating healthy work
environments.Reflect on the leadership behaviors presented in the three resources that you
selected for review.Reflect on your results of the CliftonStrengths Assessment, and consider
how the results relate to your leadership traits. The Assignment (2-3 pages):Personal
Leadership PhilosophiesDevelop and submit a personal leadership philosophy that reflects
what you think are characteristics of a good leader. Use the scholarly resources on
leadership you selected to your philosophy statement. Your personal leadership
philosophy should include the following:A description of your core valuesA personal
mission/vision statementAn analysis of your CliftonStrengths Assessment summarizing the
results of your profileA description of two key behaviors that you wish to strengthenA
development plan that explains how you plan to improve upon the two key behaviors you

MY ASSESSMENT OF MY STRENGTHS AFTER THE COMPLETION OF AN ASSESSMENT THAT
I TOOK ONLINE.1ST DISCUSSIONThere are many different types of leaders, leaders may
have different traits, practices, and visions. Some leaders thrive on motivating and inspiring
people, and others focus on business and how they can make it successful. There is not one
specific way a leader should be to be considered good leader. I have had many leaders in my
time, some being nursing preceptors, teachers, managers and even family members. Traits
2. that I have noticed and felt like they were worthy of being a good leader to me is
understanding, patience, able to speak and critic in a well manner, good communication,
able to handle stress and problems that may arise, and able to admit when they are wrong
or need help. Personal Leadership Philosophies Paper DiscussionORDER NOW FOR
CUSTOMIZED, PLAGIARISM-FREE PAPERSLeaders are said to have power in the workplace
to make the team have a certain culture that can be a place for communication and
acceptable behaviors by the staff (Kaiser, 2017). When leaders themselves do not establish
this culture and maintain it, employees may start to exhibit behaviors that may not be
appropriate such as violence/ bullying in the workplace. One of the leadership styles that
was positively effecting patients and nursing care was transformational leadership style
(Aladeen et al, 2019). Transformational leadership style is where the leader identifies the
problem/needed change, creates a vison/plan, and executes this plan with others to achieve
this goal. This is a teamwork and to achieve this goal, the leader would need to lead by
example, inspire his/her team, have emotional intelligence, and have charisma (Marshall,
2010).To be a leader, it is not as easy as it may sound. You need to have a certain
personality about yourself that others want to be around you, listen to you, take your
advice, and respect you. I have had many great leaders, but I have also had many bad
leaders. The leaders that were not fit for these roles did not have the passion as I observed
in the leaders that were. I do believe that having a great leader can impact your job
satisfaction and patient care.ReferencesAladeen Alloubani, Laila Akhu-Zaheya, Ibrahim

Springer.2ND DISCUSSIONSome may be born leaders, but some leaders are built from
experience and self-reflection. I have never been in leader roles in my career. Gallup’s
StrengthsFinder assessment is a great way to assess your strengths and the areas of
improvement that may be needed to become an effective leader. Research found that the
Gallup’s StrengthsFinder assessment helped individuals be more happy, engaged, and
productive at work (How Individuals Use CliftonStrengths, 2020).After the completion of
my assessment, I discovered that my five areas of strengths were: Achiever, Significance,
Individualization, Relator, and Deliberative. As an achiever, I am self-motivated and love to
complete my tasks/goals, but I can set more challenging goals as it was mentioned.
Significant people want to be recognized by others for their hard work and strengths. One
way to improve this is to stay focused, write down goals, and share your dreams with others
so drive you to do better (Achiever, 2019). Individualization talented people try to figure
people out as a person and their uniqueness. This is a strong quality because people are
different and to work with one another it is important to understand and see the strengths
in each person, this can be beneficial for building an effective team. One way to improve this
talent is to focus more on each person that I encounter and give praise (Individualization,
3. 2020). The Relator theme enjoys having close, strong, and genuine relationships with
others. This really described me, as I do not like to have formal organizations and do enjoy
work better when I find a connection with someone, I can have this bond with. I can
improve in this area by showing more people that I can trust them; this will allow more
people to open to me. Deliberative talented people anticipate obstacles and make well
thought out decisions, they consider other options and alternatives just incase and are not
reckless. One improvement for this talent is help others to understand and think the way
you do to help them with their actions and decisions as well.Core values that I would like to
improve on would be Flexibility and Friendship, I can try to be more open to new ideas and
be more trusting with my friendships. Areas of strength I would like to work on are
Positivity and Communication. At times I see the negative in things instead of focusing on
the positives, and I do have trouble with communicating well with others and I am at times
misunderstood. Characteristics I would also like to strengthen are Self Confident and
Ambitious. I question my decisions at times, and I am not ambitious enough to go through
with my decisions. Personal Leadership Philosophies Paper DiscussionReferencesAchiever.
