documents and technical manuals
* Work directly with vendors / suppliers and parts manufacturers to obtain quotes, lead times,
Set up / installation and maintenance items for new equipment and parts and replacements for
Obsolete parts and equipment.
* Perform criticality studies and determine criticality levels for process equipment and equipment
Sub-assemblies and prioritize planned work based on those established criticalities.
* Track equipment histories including cost analyses to determine continued maintenance levels
Versus cost of equipment replacement and to set maintenance plan frequencies.
* Prioritize work based on downtime data obtained from ZPI software and the use of Maintenance
Best Practices including some predictive maintenance activities.
* Oversee execution of and conduct follow ups on planned work schedules often working within
Narrow work completion time tables
* Set up parts spares with central stores including inventory levels and re-order points
* Determine required parts, materials, estimated costs and man hours for routine and project work
Conferring with electrical and controls engineers to ensure proper layout, design and code compliance
* Drive effective and efficient execution of planned work through best use of electrical personnel
Resources and their individual skill sets / strengths.
* Coordinate maintenance and project work activities with Operations, Trades and Contracted
Personnel to ensure effective execution of work plan
2. BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
NOV. 97 - PRESENT : Mondelez / Nabisco - Chicago, IL. - ( Electrical Planner / Scheduler)
* First 11 yrs. as a journeyman electrician with the past 7 yrs. as a planner / scheduler. Perform
Planner duties Mon. – Fri. while continuing as an electrician for all daily and weekend overtime.
* ZPI real time data software and MiniTab statistical software to develop preventative and
Predictive maintenance plans, reducing downtime and increasing meantime between failures.
* Standardized electrical parts spares, reducing overall inventory and parts in central stores for an
average annual savings in excess of $100K.
* Created strategy maintenance plans to reduce meantime between failures using Thermal Imaging,
Vibration analysis, 4-20 milliamp generating and high voltage testing Instrumentation.
* Planned, scheduled and oversaw execution of all issued electrical work for 37 electricians spanning
over 2300 pieces of production equipment and a 2.5 million sq. ft. facilities including 2 conjoined
bakeries and a Distribution Center with 9 automated H&K cranes.
* Have lead several money saving projects including lighting upgrade from HID to fluorescent T8
fixtures for entire 2.5 million sq.ft. facility, resulting an electrical power usage savings of several
hundred thousand dollars per year. Planned, laid out, scheduled, ordered all materials for project and
calculated cost vs. savings to secure capital and approval for the project.
