A brief introduction to the Rotaract program, aimed at Rotarians. Written from an Australian perspective, it looks at what the program is about, how it came to be, and where Rotaract is at today both globally and in Australia. It also discusses how Rotaract and Rotary can work together as partners-in-service.

  • That's the thing... Rotaract is not just a college club. It's for young adults aged between 18 and 30. We hardly have any university-based clubs in Australia - they are mainly community based. I don't know why there is such a big misconception in the USA that Rotaract = college-based club?

  • I have a longer version which goes into more details about responsibilities of a sponsoring Rotary club and the district, for clubs which are considering starting up a new Rotaract club. One of the most common misconceptions in the USA is that Rotaract is a college thing, but in the rest of the world, university-based clubs are in the minority. The vast majority of our clubs are community based.

  • Nice slide show on Rotaract. We don't seem to do much with Rotaract in district 6950. We should do more as we have several universities.
