Bucharest is the capital and largest city of Romania, known for its historical buildings and monuments. Some of its most notable landmarks include the Palace of Parliament, the largest building in Romania; the Romanian Athenaeum, a concert hall hosting performances for over a century; and the Museum of the Romanian Peasant which showcases the traditions and culture of Romanian villagers. The presentation also highlights Herastrau Park, one of Bucharest's most beautiful green spaces, and the Kretzulescu Church, an architectural landmark originally constructed in the 18th century.

• Bucharest is the capital of Romania and at
the same time the most populated city.
• A long time ago, it was also called “The
Little Paris” for its fascinating monuments
and buildings, beautiful, clean and quiet
avenues and kind and nice people.
3. The Palace of Parliament

• The Palace of Parliament is the
biggest building in Romania and it is
also inscribed in the Book of Records
for its height(86m) and width(270
m).
4. The Romanian Athenaeum
• The Romanian Athenaeum is a
concert hall where many famous
singers and instrumentalists have
sung. It was built in 1888, so this
year it celebrates 126 years of
existence.
5. The Museum of the
Romanian Peasant
• This museum is the place where you
can discover new things about the
traditions of the Romanian peasants
from different parts of the country.
You can also see their houses, their
churches and the objects that they
have used.
6. Herastrau Park
• Herastru Park is one of the most
beautiful parks in Bucharest. Here
you can have relaxing walks, admire
the clean and colourful gardens or
ride the bike, roller-skate etc.
7. Kretzulescu Church
• Kretzulescu church is one of the
most valuable arhitectural
monuments in our capital. It was built
in 1722. The church, damaged during
the November, 1940 earthquake, was
repaired in 1942–1943.
