10. ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE SCHOOL DURING THEACHIEVEMENTS OF THE SCHOOL DURING THE
SESSION 2011-12SESSION 2011-12
Before the school closed for summer vacation, a Hindi work shop was
organized for setting up of sample question papers for classes VIII and
IX. Around 50 schools from all over India came to participate in the
workshop. The arrangements including boarding and lodging were
much appreciated by one and all. It was a good learning experience for
us
The School Exhibition “Abhivyakti” was held on 6th August 2011.
It was attended by Vice-Chairman, manager and some honorable
members of L.M.C. Maths department depicted geometry in day to day
life, Social studies took up states and their culture, Science depicted
its use in every day life while arts displayed glass painting and Quiz
Club portrayed journey of independent India
Our students participated in State Level Yoga Competition, held at
D.A.V Pushpanjali in which many of schools of Delhi and N.C.R and
D.A.V Jasola got third position
Sports day was celebrated on 25th January 2012, was also a
remarkable event with races and field items like drill and yoga which
was brought to a close by Grand Finale.

11.  Noteworthy to mention is Quest an Inter-School Quiz
Competition, which was organized for the first time by D.A.V Jasola
Vihar. About 14 schools from Delhi N.C.R participated and it was
conducted in 2 categories (Junior and Senior). Trophies were given
to winners and runners – up.
 D.A.V Jasola Vihar being the venue of Principals’ Meet provided for
many distinguished Principals to visit our school. The power point
presentation put up on alumuni of DAVites was appreciated by all
present.
 Festivals like Diwali, Christmas, and Janmasthami were also
celebrated. Students brought a good numbers of laurels and honour
to the school. Some which need special mention are:
 i) 1st prize in 2nd Delhi State Karate Championship in which 25
schools participated. We bagged 25 gold, 15 silver and 35 bronze
medals. 12 children have been selected for International Karate
Championship to be held at U.K
 ii) 9 student participated in National Karate championship held at
Mumbai in which 12 states competed and got 8 gold, 2 silver and 4
bronze medals.
 iii) Quere Chauhan of VIII D secured 1st position in Blaze well
table tennis tournamental and also in table tennis district
championship.
 iv) Deepanjali Sharma of IX D represented our school at Patiala in
the All India Mahatma Hansraj Inter Zonal Athletic meet.

12. Our students also participated and secured positions in events like
boxing, taekwondo, volleyball etc.
Prizes won by students in other areas should also be noted. Some of
them are:
 1) Kapil Chauhan and Paras Bhattrai of X secured 1st position
in Sankar Chetna organized by D.A.V.P.S Ashok Vihar.
 2) At the Mahatma Anand Swamiji Inter School Competition, Arushi
Panchal secured 1st position in solo Bhajan. We also got 3rd prize
in Sanskrit Geetika and consolation in patriotic song.
 3) Moksh of VII C represented at the district level in Philately.
Our students also participated in Khoj – 2011; Effusion and
Techno Festival ‘2011’; All India Mahatma Hans Raj Arayan Youth
Festival; Dr. Radha Krishna Inter School debate 2011; Social Service
campaign organized by NGO – V4U and assay writing competition
“Make Your Mother Smile” by time News paper in Education H.T.
D.A.V JASOLA VIHAR got the 3rd position in “Gita Contest” from
organized by ISCON in which 80 schools participated from Delhi
NCR. Paras Bhattarai of class X secured 1st position in Senior
Group which fetches him and his parents a visit to South Africa
along with a teacher. Anirudh Barthwal bagged the 2nd position in
the same contest
