2. How far can we go?
 Looking back on where technology was before
and where it is now you would think we have
come along way.
 But little does everyone know it is just the
beginning of things.

3. How we talk to people
 The one main accessory in our lives today is our
cell phones
 People today wouldn’t know what to do without
them
 We have come along way with our phones and
what kinds of things that our phones can do

4. What they do for us…
 Today our phones do so much for us
 We can see the person that we want to talk to
with our phones
 We can email, text someone, talk to someone
across the country with our phones
 And most of all we can stay connect to the social
network

5. Media Systems Dependency Theory
 The theory ties together the interrelations of
broad social systems, mass media and the
individual into a comprehensive explanation of
media effects
 The need to understand one’s social world
 The need to act meaningfully and effectively in
that world
 The need to escape from that when tensions are
high

6. How the internet is changing
 Today we don’t really rely on paper anymore, we
like to use the internet to get our information
 One main example with this is the newspaper
 We now can go online and read about things that
are happening in the world and not having to wait
on someone to deliver it to us

7. In the classroom
 When you go to school now especially college
professors use the internet to communicate with
their students
 We submit papers online
 We get our notes online
 We can even get our lectures online

8. The future for the classroom
 Kids now a days have the option to learn about
technology a lot earlier than we did
 There are many kids that go to schools that
require them to learn how to use computers or
they use things such as Ipads in the classroom
 In the future people are going to rely on
technology to get through their days

9. Umbrella Perspective
 The hardware equipment, organizational
structures and social values by which individuals
collect, process and exchange information with
other individuals.
 Factors:
 Enabling
 Limiting
 Motivating
 Inhibiting

10. How our Cars are changing
 Today you can start your car with a button
 You can get a car that talks to you
 Some cars can drive themselves
 There is one car that will put the brakes on if they
sense that your going to hit something
 You can even get an electric car

11. Our cars in the future
 We are waiting for the cars to start flying like
starwars

12. Social Cognitive Theory
 An individuals knowledge can be directly related
to observing others within the context of social
interactions, experiences and outside media
influences
 Learning how to do things based off of what we see
other people doing
 Doing things based off seeing if others were
rewarded or punished for their behaviors
 The media provides different examples of life based
on the people and their different environments
