5. Prerequisites for Beneficiaries
• The beneficiary should be literate enough to solve basic mathematics
• The beneficiary should ideally have at least a basic phone with basic
internet connectivity and knowledge of how to operate it
• The beneficiary should have a bank account in at least one of the
recognized banks
Good to have:
• A debit card from the bank
6. Prerequisites for Volunteers and training
• Volunteers need to carry their own smartphones when visiting
beneficiaries
• Volunteers need to be completely aware and comfortable with at
least one option from among the tools mentioned earlier
• Volunteers need to train only on those tools in which
they think they are most comfortable
• Volunteers must remain with their beneficiaries
through open transactions, in order to ensure
they are completed properly
7. Parameters of Success
• The beneficiary needs to feel in total control and completely
comfortable of his/her money while using at least one of the cashless
modes of transactions
• The process to be made completely sustainable for beneficiary and
his /her family to start using the cashless systems

9. About the Curriculum
The Curriculum gives an in-detail, step by step process to make people
comfortable with all of the cashless transaction tools
• The curriculum will start with a basic video to sensitize both volunteers and
beneficiaries on how easy the transactions can be introducing everyone to
the cashless tools
• This will be followed by an interactive slide based session on where can the
tool be used and what problems does it solve
• This will be followed by a step by step process for registration and usage of
the tool
• Last section will be about the FAQs that may come up for each tool

• Do TSPs (Telecom Service Providers) charge the customer for *99# service?
Yes. TSPs charge the customer for using *99# service. Please contact your Telecom Service Provider to know
the exact charges for using *99# service. However, TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has set a
maximum ceiling of Rs. 1.50 / transaction for usingthe *99# service.
• Is there any transaction limit set for the *99# service?
The RBI guidelines for Mobile Banking Services has prescribed a ceiling of Rs. 5000 per transaction for
financial transactions using *99# service.
• Is the beneficiary customer also required to register for Mobile Banking services for receiving the funds using
*99# service?
No. Beneficiary is not required to register for receiving funds using Account Number /Aadhaar Number.
However, beneficiary is required to register himself/herself with his/her bank for mobile banking services for
receiving funds using Mobile Number & MMID. Beneficiary customer should approach his bank for getting
MMID.
• If I change my Mobile number, do I need to register again for the Mobile Banking?
Yes. The customer needs to register his/her new mobile number with his/her bank for availing the mobile
banking services on his new number.
• Where can a customer register complaint w.r.t. *99# transaction?
Customer can log following type of complaints faced while using *99# service:
• Network related - With respective Service providers like Airtel, Vodafone etc.
• Transaction related - With respective banks
