INTRODUCTION
* Solar mobile charger is the device which can charge the cell phone with the help of solar power.
* The main source of this solar power is sunlight . Sunlight is made up of photons or packets of
energy.
* These photon contains various amount of energy corresponding to different wavelength of light .
* When a photon is absorbed , the energy of the photon is transferred to an electron in an atom of th
cell , that is we can say that solar cell directly converts solar energy into electricity.
* In today era 80% of the energy we use , comes from fossil fuel and about only 1% comes from solar
energy. It is estimated that the world’s oil reserves will last for 30 to 40 years where solar energy is
forever.
* Solar energy has two big advantage over fossil fuel:
* It is renewable.
* No effect on the environment.
* There is also some drawbacks of solar energy, like that it can’t produce in the absence of sunlight.
SOLAR PROCESS
* Solar cell works on photovoltaic effect. Sunlight
composed
of photons of different wavelength.
* When photon strikes on solar cell ,they may be
reflected or
absorbed.
* When a photon is absorbed , the energy of photon is
transferred to an electron in an atom of the
cell(which is generally semiconductor).
* When electron will get energy ,it will be able to move,

* Photovoltaic cell is an electrical device that convert the energy of ligh
directly into electricity by photovoltaic effect.
* The operation of PV Cell require three basic attributes:
1. The absorption of light , generating electron-hole pair.
2. The separation of charge career of opposite types.
3. The separate extraction of those carriers to an external circuit.
MANUFACTURING OF SOLAR CELL
* Row material: The basic components of solar cell is pure silicon , whic
not pure in natural state.
* Purifying the silicon and making single crystal silicon.
* Making small small silicon crystal.
* Doping : It is used to increase the strength of material.
* Anti Reflecting Coating : to improve efficiency.
* Encapsulating the cell.
SPECIFICATION OF CHARGER
* Use high efficiency mono-crystalline silicon.
* Solar Panel: 5.5V/1000mA.
* Output Voltage: 5.5V.
* Output Current: 300-550mA.

ADVANTAGE
* Utilize renewable sources.

for charging.
* Bring convenience to the users.
* Useful for users in remote area & portable for travellers.
* To save the electricity bill cost in the long run.
* Reduce environmental pollution.
DISADVANTAGE
* Cost is high.
* It will not work in cloudy day.
* They are only use for small amount of time.
* It may not be ideal in your situation.
* Solar charger have no capacity to store the energy.
* It is also applies to the portable device.
* Charger is different type such as – Laptop , cell phone &
MP3 player
FUTURE SCOPE
* Solar energy can only be harnessed when it is daytime and sunny .
To overcome this , solar panels can be coupled with back-up battery
which can store the excess power generated during the day and use
it to improve energy to system in the absence of sunlight.
* The large size of solar panel makes the device bulky and non-portable
The solar panel should be fabricated to cover the entire device , which
can effectively reduce the size of the entire device.
CONCLUSION
* To make sure we have plenty of energy in the future . it’s up to all of us to use energ
* We must all conserve energy and use it efficiently.
* All energy source have an impact on the environment. Concern about more developm
renewable energy sources such as solar , hydrogen wind etc.
