Britains got talent
1. Britain’sGotBhangra
The play wasset in the late '70s which tells the story of Twinkle, who
arrives from India to Britain for a better life with ambitions to give his wife
everything she, deserves and his wife’s name, was Jussi.
When he came to London and looks for a job he meets Rocky. Rocky gives
Twinkle a job to start his career as a van driver but then when Rocky was
working on his van Twinkle starts singing then Rocky start realizing what a
powerful voice Twinkle has, then Rocky encourages him to sing. Then
Rocky and Twinkle goes to the temple to sing hymns but then the Guru
offer him to sing in a wedding afterwards they form a band and get swept
into stardomduring the scene in the '80s.
But Twinkle is the target of record company abuse after he's trapped to
signing away his rights by his attractive manager who’s self-conceited’
shark’Shinde. She takes his music and she passes it to DJ Lovely lettinghim
to split it off and remix itmake sure that they both get rich.
In the ‘90s they dropped down all the traditional Bhangra music and start
making remixes.
Choreography outstandingly done with the Bhangra dancing. finale and a
male dance routine where it happens in the wedding and the hilarious and
charming Bibiji ’fat lady ‘seems overwhelmed by all the muscle around her,
along with intelligent writing and catchy tunes gives the audience Britain's
Got Bhangra as a brilliant musical that teaches ‘How things aren't
always what they seem’.
In terms of rest of the play I actually enjoyed it because the play
had a various types of genres which were very interesting. It had
a combination of Comedy, Tragic, emotions and etc. The
characters played their character very well this because they
were in character the whole time and each of them were
performing very well.
Overall the performance was a great experience and I enjoyed it a
lot.
2. Andy Kumar's astounding choreography, spectacularly realised in the high-octane finale
and a male dance routine where the hilarious and charming RinaFatania (Bibiji and
auntie) seems overwhelmed by all the muscle around her, along with Kumar's
intelligent writing and Chopra's catchy tunes tick all the boxes and cements Britain's
Got Bhangra as a brilliant musical that teaches how things aren't always what they
seem.
