Changing paradigm in academic scholarly communication Abstract: The present article aimed to explore the changes took place over the period of time in scholarly communication process. The traditional scholarly communication process is compared and contrasted with open access driven scholarly communication process/model. Also it throws light on how the Web 2.0 has affected the way knowledge is created and disseminated. It also covers new avenues for peer review process, which is an integral part of scholarly communication process. The article ends with future of scholarly communication and the challenges ahead.
