Celebration and rituals of India's one of the most colorful festival Gangaur. Gangaur is a festival of spring, harvest and marital bliss. It is celebrated mostly in Rajasthan, Gujart, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.
2. Rituals of Gangaur
On 7th day after Holi unmarried
women go around singing songs
of ghudlia and collect cash,
sweets jaggery, ghee and oil on
their way
6. Final Celebration
On the last day a procession
visits a garden, bawdi or johad or
well with the idols of Isar and
Gauri, placed on the heads of
married women. They sing songs
about the departure of Gauri to
her husband's house.
