2. MANUAL MODE
Aperture
Aperture means how much light is exposed for the
camera
photographs with a subject that are in focus and
have beautiful blurred backgrounds, means that this
is the effect of a wide aperture
A wide aperture is the best way for taking pictures
because more light is being used. However less of
the picture is in focus
f/1.8, lets in more light and provides a
shallow depth of field.
A narrow aperture, for example f/22,
provides a deeper focus but lets in less
light.
In manual mode the camera lets you know
if you're over- or under-exposed this is
shown but a little meter at the bottom . The
left is underexposed and the right is
overexposed. the pointer should be in the
middle.
3. Shutter Speed
• The shutter button on a camera means that the aperture blades take a specific amount of time to close. The
amount of time is called shutter speed.
• the shutter speed is nearly always a fraction of a second,
• Taking pictures of fast moving objects 1/300th of a second is used.
• . When the shutter speed is increased the length of time where the sensor is exposed to light is increased as
well.
4. ISO
ISO means film speed
• When there is a higher ISO it means a
that the camera is more sensitive to light
. High ISOs are useful for picking up more
detail in a dark picture without decreasing
the shutter speed or widening the aperture
• however the lights in a picture are really
right and looks unrealistic,
• high ISO settings means that there is an
increase of noise when you are taking a
picture.
5. AUTOMATIC MODESix automatic settings that is found in a digital SLR camera:
• Portrait -. Portrait mode sets the image color for skin tone precisely.
• Landscape this mode is used when people are taking pictures of beach's, mountain and other sceneries.
•Close up.- when taking a picture you can make it fill up the frame.
• Sports – this mode is used when people are taking a picture of a moving object .
• Night Portrait - the mode is used when taking pictures of a person at night
•
•Flash Off - when you do not want to use flash when taking a picture.
• sports modes increase the ISO and uses a faster shutter speed to get the picture you are taking a picture of.
• Landscape modes use a smaller aperture depth of field is used .
• Portrait mode widens the aperture and makes the background blurrey.
• Night portrait modes uses an exposure long enough to capture the backgrounds detail, flash is also used to make the object clearer.
• High sensivity modes use the highest ISO available, but the disadvantage is a lower resolutions in order to cope with noise.
• Movie mode allows a still camera to take moving pictures.
• Sunset modes make brighter colors clearer for example, such as those that can be found on sunsets.
6. SMART PHONE CAMERAS
• , Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge
• Plus and Galaxy Note 5.
• Booth phones shoot video at resolutions up to 4K,
• both capture audio better than other 4K-capable phones such as the LG G4.
• optical image stabilization is used for movies at 1080p and below videos are not shaky when a tripod is not used.
• HTC Desire Eye,
• 13-megapixel cameras on both the back and the front cameras.
• front cam's has extra-wide 22mm-equivalent lens
• iPhone 6s Plus
• 12-megapixel camera with 1.22-micron pixels
• It takes pictures brighter , colourful pictures with a higher contrast and clear details.
• It captures skin tones accurately, even in a low light.
• . Optical image stabilization helps you get sharp pictures every time.
