PDHPE aims to develop students' health knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It focuses on developing movement, problem-solving and communication skills. While there is only 2 hours of PDHPE per week in primary schools, children need 60 minutes of daily physical activity outside of school. PDHPE covers many everyday topics beyond just sport, including growth, nutrition, relationships, safety and health education.
