This document provides instructions for a 7th grade clay project that challenges students to go above and beyond basic clay work. Students must create a vessel that incorporates two clay manipulation techniques and includes a lid, handle, or other decorative element. The vessel must also reflect something about the student's personality and interests. Students must submit designs for approval before receiving clay to make a final fired and glazed piece reflecting their chosen design.
