to files, so here’s a way to
make it way to classify
documents when you upload
them

1. Group by metadata to allow drag and drop

1. Create a column that you want to sort by. In my example I added
"Status" to the document with choices of Draft / Scheduled /
Expired
2. Create a view that groups by that column
3. If you now drag a file from one group to another the metadata
automatically changes.Ta-da!
4. This works when you drag a document into a SharePoint library
from your desktop too. Just drag it into a specific group rather than
the library in general
5. Don't use this as an excuse to re-ignite the old folders vs metadata
argument ;-)
