Aim
This course aims to:
âą provide basic knowledge on the use of technology in education.
âą select and evaluate the medium of teaching.
âą plan lessons with the use of current technology as teaching.

Successful students in this course can:
âą understand basic knowledge on the use of computer in education.
âą identify issues related to the use of computers in schools.

3. Assessment tasks
1.Project 1 (Group work)
Teaching and Learning Software Evaluation Presentation.
Prepare a presentation for duration of 15 minutes. The presentation should be on
evaluation of English educational CD software.
2. Final Project (Group work)
Multimedia software development.
Develop a software accompanied by a presentation and a report of the software
developed.

Teaching and Learning Software Evaluation Presentation.
The presentation will be based on the content gathered and information conveyed. Marks will be awarded based on the presentation skills and
the content. The report should be handed-in on the presentation day. The duration is 15 minutes per group.
Font and spacing : Arial (12) and double-spacing.
The Cover Page should include:
Universityâs Logo, Name of the university, followed by the faculty.
Subject Code and Name, followed by semester.
Lecturerâs Name, followed by groupâs name, matric no.
Due date.

Final Project
1. Software Development
Students were asked to develop educational software for respective forms based on a lesson plan planned by them. A presentation will be
based on the content and fluency of the software developed free from errors. Marks will be awarded based on the software and presentation
skill. The duration is 20 minutes per group.
2. Project Report
This report is basically related to the preparation of the development of the multimedia software or program. It must be based on these 7 items
as listed below:
1. Introduction â state how the program could help the audiences improve themselves after using the program.
2. State the objectives (at least 3) of the program developed.
3. Include the subject content of the program.
4. Develop and include the flowchart of the program.
5. Include the blueprint of the program (initial sketches of the program).
6. Include the story board of the program (the main menu, the content screen and 2 activity screens). - The story boards must be in
handwritten.
7. Conclusion â state your hope and the advantages or disadvantages of the program
The report should be handed-in on the presentation day.
