2. Schizophrenia is a chronic mental
disorder in which there is a break
down in the thought process, poor
emotional responsiveness,
hallucinations and disorganized
speech.
3. Acute Phase
Loss of contact with reality
Stabilization Phase
Patient is under control but risk of relapses
Maintenance Phase
Patient is stable but medication is in process.
4. Traditional Method
1. Positive schizophrenia
Stage:Acute
Condition: Responsiveness towards medication
Symptoms: Delusions and hallucinations
2. Negative schizophrenia
Stage: Gradual
Condition : Slowly moving towards retardation.
Symptom :Withdrawal from others’ identity
Slow reaction
