5. Gain work experience
This is important because many employees prefer
someone with at least a year’s experience in the job

internship education requirement as the first work
experience. You can also pursue other internship or work

or apprenticeship. To gain more professional experience
you can volunteer your animation skills and participate in
graduate training. All work done can be used to build up
your portfolio and demo reel.
6. Keep up with the latest technology and applications
Animation is a technology rich profession and every new
day new ways, upgrades and new technologies are
available to transform the industry and roles. To avoid
lagging behind you should attend classes teaching
advanced software features and which address industry
trends. You can find them in colleges or even from the
software providers. Reading industry related publications
will also go a long way in helping you remain updated on
new trends and keep you competitive.

career
Graduate training provides an opportunity to further
expand one’s knowledge and skills and work with experts

your specialty. Through workshops and collaborative
