 THE FAIRFAX INSTITUTE (TFI) offers
continuing education short courses for
students, academicians, lifelong learners,
and concerned citizens, as well as
professionals in government, policymaking,
business, and information analysis.
 Degree: In conjunction with TFI offers in
Lebanon, Beirut. Courses are taught in Arabic
on-site and via distance learning.
 to provide advice to IIIT on academic matters.
 To review and assess current academic
programs in terms of curriculum,
 To develop and review guidelines for a core
curriculum in Islamic studies
 Review academic cooperation between IIIT and
universities and research institutions in the US
and internationally,
 Review and assess polices and guidelines for
IIIT scholarships and research grants.
 Review IIIT intellectual agenda, its priorities
and current research and publications polices
and work in the light of contemporary
challenges.
 four weeks.
 This residential program is designed for
graduate students and exceptional senior
undergraduates –
 developing their knowledge and research
skills in the core areas of Islamic studies such
as methods in the study of Islam, the Qur’an,
the Sunnah, Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence),
Muslim History and Civilization, and
Contemporary Islamic Thought.
 During the course of the program, students
would complete a total of 160 hours of
directed research, instruction, and
administrative work at the IIIT and would
receive a certificate of completion from the
Institute
