1. 1.1 INTRODUCTION
Online Ordering and Reservation System is an e-commerce function where a company
allows customers to order and reserve products or services through website. In ordering products
you should register first, before you can check out your item. In reserving a product it is the same
in ordering process.
Since the internet is booming, having an online ordering system is a big help to the
company, it can increase sales to some point. Aside from having a system customers can view
lots of information regarding what the business is all about and what they are selling. And
different people can interact with this technology in support of business processes. Customers
will exert less effort in going to the company to buy what they want as long as they have a
computer or laptop at home with internet connection the customers can save his time.In terms of
reserving a product customers can reserve their desired item at a time. It is a big help for the
customer to reserve an item especially when they are out of budget. Online Reservation System
is a module that can reserve a certain thing. The company allows a customer to reserve a product
or services at a time with corresponding condition about the reservation process.
The Loot Bag Company was started last February 22, 2008. It is located at Velez Street
Cagayan de Oro City in front of the City Central School. It was established by Ms. Ivy Pacturan.
At first, it was just her hobby of selling items which made her happy, but as time goes by her
business had a good demand to the public so she decided to formalize her business and her
siblings supported it. Most of her products are school supplies, Accessories, Stuffed toys, Give a
ways, Tarpaulin, Invitation cards, Bags, Candies, Chocolates, Party needs and many others.
These products came from Manila and in Singapore. For the last three years, Loot Bag continued
serving the customer by providing wide range of products. The company is gradually known
through the mouth of their satisfied customer. Reasonable price, good service and good product
is what the company committed to provide customer’s satisfaction. This year Loot Bag business
will be having a branch located at Macasandig Cagayan de Oro City in front of Corpus Christi
National High School.

2. 1.1 Statement of the Problem
An Online Ordering and Reservation service is a system in which people can access lots
of information, order and reserve a certain product, search for accommodation and register
through online.
But before the advancement of technology occur; dissemination of information is done
through paper based and the mouth of a satisfied costumer. From that disadvantage it leads to
develop the new technology that can order online and store information.
The main problem of the company, Loot Bag is their means of selling product and
introducing their business to the public. People from different places are having hard time in
determining the company’s information because of the absence of technology. Besides, citizens
are not so familiar with the company due to lack of information, people are only able to
acknowledge the company if someone relay it. In case of promos, people won’t look up
automatically to the Loot Bag because they don’t have enough knowledge that such company
exists. In reserving and ordering of a certain product the client can’t accommodate their wants
because the customer notifies the client in just a short period of time. In terms of product
monitoring the business encounters problem in monitoring because they have to monitor it
manually.
General Problem
The LOOT BAG Company doesn’t have an Online Information System that’s why it’s
hard for them to inform and notify the public that the business exists. People are clueless what
kind of products they are selling. When they heard the name LOOT BAG they would probably
think that the business is more on bag, well in fact it is not.

o Most people here in Cagayan de oro city are not aware that this kind of business exists.
For the reason that the dissemination of the information are only limited. They once put
an advertisement in the newspaper but still that’s not enough to spread the news about

to the public.
Short notice for the product need to be reserved
o Sometimes the customers’ reserves a certain product in just a short period of time the
business encounter problem in assisting the customers’ reservation because they cannot
easily identify which product is available or not.
Time consuming in products monitoring
o In terms of products monitoring, they have hard time in checking the condition of the
certain product and it consumes a lot of time to finish the monitoring process.
The proponent’s got all this information through interview and the proponent’s study
their company well to come up with this problems.
1.2 Current State of the Technology
The popularity of the Online E-commerce system is increasing day by day.Everyone can
share their knowledge and get whatever information they want through the internet.The online
system is especially useful for getting information instantly. The term 'online system' is
commonly used to refer the system of computer and internet and the online system has played a

The study aims to create a system for an easy transaction for ordering and reservation
process and informing the public what business they have. And to lessen the time consumed in
monitoring the products. So, the company will have hassle free and less time consuming in
products monitoring. And the information about Loot Bag will be distributed all over in Cagayan
de Oro City through internet.

To create a module that will inform the public what their business is all about.
-Through this online system the company will exert less effort in disseminating
information of the said company. And customers will not be confused of what kind of
business they have.

products that is being reserved and the business can quickly respond to the customers
demand.

consuming time.
