1. Argument Paragraph
Graduates should take a gap year off before collage because, they will be more focused in the
fall. “For example, some students are considered “burnt out” from the twelve years or more years
of school,”(http://www.rasmussen.edu/student-life/blogs/college-life/a-gap-year-weighing-thepros-and-cons/) Taking a gap year off may help you get a fresh start in school. High academic
colleges encourage a “gap year,” to become more focused and mature for collage. Students
sometimes need a year between high school and collage to decide what they want to study. More
Americans than ever before are receiving a higher-level education than those who don’t. Similar
to Europe taking a gap year before college is becoming more popular in the United States. An
extra year will help students/families get more money for their education, some believe that
taking a year off of school will be expensive, but if you get a part time job you will gain money
and sometimes extra money. The term gap year doesn’t mean you have to take a full year off.
Some students will take 6 months off. Yes taking a year or so off is a risk, but if you are
motivated to go to college and receive your diploma it is worth it.
