Project
Completed Under Graduation project in the field of Digital Image Processing in the title “
Image Encryption Using Particle Swarm Optimization” .
The field of encryption is becoming very important in the present era in which information
security is of utmost concern. Security is an important issue in communication and storage of
images, and encryption is one of the ways to ensure security. My project aims at efficient method
for the encryption of image for its secure transmission over the network. My work focuses on pre-
encryption, encryption and decryption part. In pre-encryption the input image is confused using
two methods. First input image is fed into chaotic transform and then each pixel in the transformed
image is converted into equivalent 8 bit binary value and shuffled using predefined value and then
converted back to equivalent decimal value. In the encryption part, pre-encrypted image is encrypted
3. using the key generated from Particle Swarm Optimization. The transmitted image is received at
the receiver and decrypted using the same key value.
Post-Graduation Project:
Completed project phase 1 in the field of Wireless Communication in the title
“Low complexity design of MIMO precoders”.
The problem in Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) channels is the separation of the
data streams which are sent in parallel. By the process of precoding at the transmitter, the data
streams are sent in parallel independent subchannels. For that decomposition of channel into
subchannels needs to be performed. In this work, the performance of MIMO precoder using various
channel decomposition techniques are compared and its computational complexity is measured in
terms of floating point operations (FLOPs). The channel decomposition schemes used are Singular
Value Decomposition (SVD), Geometric Mean Decomposition (GMD), LDLH, LU, Schur, QR
and Jordan decomposition. While comparing with all other decomposition schemes, QR
decomposition involves relatively lesser number of FLOPs. The simulation results shows that QR
decomposition outperforms all the other channel decomposition methods in SER performance.
