1. Mission
Exposing NYC youth to the outdoors to foster personal growth,
inspire and instill a greater appreciation of the natural world
2. Values, Beliefs, and Guiding Principles
• Opportunity
– Every child deserves the opportunity to spend some time
outdoors. Thousands of city youth should have more access to
resources that will help them experience the natural world.
• So far, yet so close!
– We have an abundance of amazing landscape in NYC. There are
National Parks, State Parks, and City Parks that are youth should
have a chance to explore and discover.
• Education
– We must educate are youth about our natural environment.
From identifying animals and birds to learning where are food
comes from. Are goal is to make the youth aware that we are
not separate from, but actually part of the environment.
3. Vision
To promote the personal growth of NYC youth
by direct experience in the outdoors. We will
accomplish this by improving the access to
untapped resources in our backyards.
4. Market/Customer
• Our Target market are NYC youth 3rd grade - High school
• Overworked parents, singles parents, and foster parents

with essential outdoor experiences that promote a
healthy lifestyle.
• Lack of physical activity is plaguing our kids with physical
and emotional illnesses. The average youth is spending an
average of 7 hours a day using devices such as games,
computers, and mobile devices.
• There is a growing disconnect between the youth and the
natural world to the point where they don’t know where
there food comes from and how pollution will actually
effect them.
