Animushasjustannounceda UK headline tourforOctober.Grabtheirnew single ‘FarAway’now!
Last weekIattendedone of their one of showsat a local gig venue inLiverpool. The sistersfrom
othermisterswhoare originallyfromManchester, supplymusic you can’t help but dance to. They
are able to bounce off each other’s musical imaginations, bringing together electronic and
acoustic beats into a fully live experience. The crowd was exhilarated, with the music
energising their every step. As soon as you could hear the familiar 80s drum beats you knew it
was vocalist Alex Neswell’stime to shine with his flowing melodies. Their song ‘Up to you’, sent
the crowd into overload, a singing and dancing frenzy.
Most of their songs were coming from their recent EP Look out, but the duo’s set list was also
mixed with refixed club classics.
At last, but far from least, Jess Glynne joined the stage for the final song, their latest
single ‘Deck of cards’, currently at 2nd
place in the UK singles chart. In combining her unique,
sound and ultimate production skills, they have created a definitive “club banger”. The tune
screamed disco and the crowd responded phenomenally, shouting back every lyric.
Animus more than impressed with a mix of dance classics and sure-to-be future classics: they
were getting down with the grooves, and so were we.
