Sent From Name: Lets the recipient know who is emailing
them (i.e. Moorestown Turkey Trot 5K)
Reply To Email Addresses: This is the email address that
receives replies to the emails sent through our platform
(i.e. racedirector@race.com)
Getting Started: Email Whitelabeling Settings

● This is only recommended for advanced users
● This will allow you to verify your emails with your own
domain
● Great way to increase your email deliverability rate
Simple Whitelabeling2
● This may decrease email deliverability because there is no
domain to verify your emails
● Email sender appears as “From:”
● Keep track of your email analytics if this is enabled

navigating to Manage Lists under
the Email Marketing section of the
dashboard

Click this button on the Manage Lists page to create and
name your new list
Add contacts from previous races or add contacts by
volunteer task
Upload a CSV file to add contacts that you obtained
offline
Add existing custom contacts or create new custom
contacts right on the page
MailChimp Integration
MailChimp integrates with
RunSignup to allow you sync
participants with their platform
You must authorize this process.

Name the Email: For your
identification purposes: this is
not visible to recipients
Email Subject: Basic email
subject that is visible to all
recipients
Schedule an Email: Send email at
immediately or schedule a send
for a later day/time

Analyzing Email Statistics: Stats to Keep an Eye on
This displays a tabular
view of overall email
statistics throughout the
lifetime of your race
This displays a graphical view
of your email statistics. The
graph can be set to display by
day, week, or month
Analyzing Email Statistics: Breaking Down the Stats
Statistic Meaning
Requests Any time that you try to send an email to a recipient
Delivered Any time that the email is delivered to the recipients server
Opens Whenever a recipient clicks on an email. Typically inflated
because people may open an email several times
Unique Opens The amount of times recipients open and email for the first
time
Clicks Records when somebody clicks a link within your email
Unique Clicks Records the first link click per recipient
Bounce Any time that an email is not delivered to a recipient’s server
Spam Report Detects if an email goes through a recipient’s server as spam
List Cleaning
RunSignup automatically cleans email lists for you
๏ Removes people who unsubscribe
๏ Removes people who flag your email
Do not re-add people who unsubscribe from you
๏ This is illegal and angers your customers
RaceInsights Report
Additional email statistics are
located in the RaceInsights Report
on your Race Dashboard
Below the graph, you can see how
many pageviews, signups, and
transaction dollars were generated
through email communications
over any period of time (up to 90
days).

Automated emails are sent when a RunSignup user
completes a specific action. The five types are:

● Sent a set number of days after a
registration
● Great way to remind registrants about
referral or swag rewards

● Automatically emails participants if they
drop out of the registration path after the
first page

● Goes out to currently registered
participants to notify of price increases
● Also goes out to past racers
