Writing Assessment 2: Tatort- Hart and der Grenze
The 2nd Writing Assessment will be in class and will test your ability to communicate in written
German on familiar topics. During the written assessment, you will be allowed to use a physical
dictionary (not an online one) and a grammar book (such as the green English Grammar for
Students of German) if you bring these in with you that day. You may also print out this sheet with
your notes.
Brainstorm the topic before the writing assessment and make relevant notes. Notes may only be
in single words or phrases; they may NOT be in complete German sentences.
Do not use Google translate: it only produces gibberish and you will be counted off for it (it’s very
easy to spot, I promise!). Use the German you already know and have learned in class, and only
reach for the dictionary if you forget something. Ask your instructor BEFORE the assessment if
you would like to know how to say something for this essay that you haven’t yet covered in class.

Schreiben Sie eine Zusammenfassung von der Tatort Episode die wir im Unterricht gesehen
haben. Wer sind die Charaktere? (Wie heißen sie? Was sind sie von Beruf? Woher kommen sie?)

Beschreiben Sie mindestens 3 wichtige Ereignisse, die in der Episode passieren.

Schauspieler? Würdest du die Sendung empfehlen? Warum oder warum nicht? Wer war dein
