Project Objectives
 To trial a Virtual Learning Environment for use by both
Public Sector and Third Sector organisations, to reduce
learning delivery costs and duplication of learning offers.
 In addition the opportunity will be taken to convert existing
e-learning materials, currently hosted on a variety of
platforms, to Moodle / Xerte to facilitate the sharing of
content.

Challenges
 Hosting - started with existing host, but soon encountered
speed issues (20-30 seconds to access a page)
 Have now transferred to EZPC @ £25 / year
 Xerte - issues in maintaining features in current e-learning
 Organisational Changes - CLSD to Realise Futures /
Third Sector Infrastructure rationalisation / Otley and
Easton College.

 Rationalisation - reduced duplication of training through
sharing of best practice
 Development - working with Eastern JISC RSC to trial
latest versions
 Working with ASDAN to develop e-learning
 Cost Saving - lower delivery costs via e-learning.
