Overview:
This two-day programme is designed to help you develop project management skills that will be immediately useful, usable, and used back on the job. How do we do this? We
use actual projects provided by the participants in each class as the basis for all of the key exercises. This allows you to practice in a more realistic environment that is not black
and white, but shades of gray - just like the real world.
This programme will help you develop the skills needed to function effectively when managing multiple projects. Each module includes a brief review of the relevant single-
project management concepts followed by detailed treatment of how to adapt and adjust those ideas to the differing challenges of multi-project management. In particular,
participants will learn the differences between justificationa and vision, between motivation and movement, and between reserves and contingencies. They will also learn what
the most troublesome resources constraint is and techniques for more effective status reporting.
Approximately 50% of class time is devoted to casework and experiential learning. During hands-on exercises, you will work as part of a team to develop a
vision, define a project life-cycle, identify resource constraints, and design a multi-project reporting dashboard
Key areas to be covered in the programme and documentation
