been used to create specific soundtrack elements
Setting
A vast Arid desert surrounded by other planets and ships.
The advance in technology is shown by the use of the train, which is traveling in the
air across a thin rail.
We can see it has hostile creatures inside it due to the ‘Skag’ in the beginning.
The generic music in the background links to were
they are, the song is ‘Sin City- Ain’t no place for a
hero’ which shows they’re in a rough area filled
with hostile mobs.
Mood
With the introduction from the narrator we see what the purpose of the
Protagonists is, and by using the scene of a ‘Skag’ being dragged along by a car of
Psycho’s, we can see the whole comedy and hilarity of this game.
Game genre
Action, Adventure, FPS
The music in playing in the background shows the
mood of the game as the lyrics link in with the
mood, ‘This ain'tno place for no hero.
This ain'tno place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."’
The FPS is shown within the shooting of guns as
the protagonists delay their death, it also shows
Action due to sounds of Robots ‘activating’
‘powering up’ as they fall like meteors from the
sky.
Narrative
The narration is from the same character that narrated the first game too, in a
similar manner, explaining the ‘Vault Hunters’ goals and what has happened, to
show a briefing of the previous game.
He tells it like the whole game is to be a story,
told to the player who eventually goes on to do
this story. The narration starts from the beginning
of the cut-scene with illustrations, they stop
explaining to hear the sound of blowing sand and
showing a ‘Skag’.
