Things we have in common

   Debra Linde and Busi Zweni
Home & Work similarities….
• We live in East London in South Africa
• We work for Ulutho, an Orphan and
  Vulnerable Children Program
• Thus all our working conditions are similar eg
  hours, vision, mission etc
• We both live in a house with running
  water, electricity
• We both have a dad alive
Home and Work similarities cont.
• We both have at least one brother
• We love our families
• We enjoy our work
• We strive to be a part of social change in our
  country
• We get on with our collegues
Things we both love….
• 1. Developing our professional and personal
  skills
  2. See positive changes in our country
  3. Feeling loved
  4. Laughing and being happy
  5. Cake and chocolate
  6. Positive people
  7. Artisitic expression eg dance, art, music
Things we both love cont…
•   8. Sunsets
•   9. Walking along the beach
•   10. Watching the waves
•   11. Eating out
•   12. Being with friends and family
•   13. Braai (barbecue)
•   14. God
•   And……….
Things we both dislike…
• 1. Rhino poaching
  2. Poverty
  3. Children suffering
  4. Arrogant people
  5. Rude drivers
  6. Bad manners
• 7. HIV and AIDS
• 8. Cancer
• 9. Fireworks
Things we both dislike…..
• 10. Pollution
• 11. Slavery
  12. Crime
  14. Feeling rejected
• 15. Feeling inferior
• 16. Jealousy
• 17. Intolerance
• And…………
Things we both know to be true
• Here we can list thousands of facts and figures
  and includes truths we believe in from
  history, science, maths etc.
• We both went to schooling in SA and then
  both have honours degrees from SA
  universities.
• We know that knowledge produces
  confidence.
• And……….
In conclusion…
• We both realised how much we could
  accumulate when it comes to things we have
  in common.
• This is especially true because we come from
  the same country and have similar cultural
  beliefs.
• We thus have thousands of things in common.
