around the world and his name is Tu Pac.

3. Why I picked Tu Pac
I picked Tu Pac because I like rap and he is an
amazing rapper and he is great at rap.

Tu Pac mainly sings Rap and Hip-Hop.
Rapping is distinct from spoken poetry in that it is
performed in time to a beat

5. Early Life
TuPac’s real name is TuPac Amaru Shakur. He
was born on the East Harlem section of
Manhattan in New York City in America on June
16th in 1971. TuPac’s mother’s name is Afeni
Shakur and his father’s name was Bill Garland.
His parents were bad and they spent time in jail.
TuPac dropped out of school but even though
TuPac dropped out of school he still read books
and he learned by himself. He loved Shakespeare.

In his songs he tried to tell people not to take
drugs, and not to be violent and told everyone
about poor people that live in poverty.

7. Musical Career
TuPac started rapping at the age of 17 with a
group called Strictly Dope. He used to raise
money for charity’s.

TuPac Shakur has won several awards and here
are some of them:
In 1997 and 1994 he won Favourite Rap/Hip-
Hop Artist award, in 2005 he won Top
Soundtrack Song of the year, in 1996 he won best
Solo performance and best rap Album. In 1997
Best Rap Album, Best Rap performance and Best
Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.

9. What He Is Doing Today
TuPac is dead so he wouldn’t be making more
music but his music is still famous. He got shot
on September 7th and died on the 13th of
September at the age of 25. He got shot because
he made a song and it was offensive to South
Africans.

Hip-Hop- Type of music that has a really loud
beat.
Rap-A type of music that the singers sing very
fast and some of the lyrics you can’t even tell
what they are saying. Rap also includes rhyming
that fits into a beat.
