1. What is your purpose in Life? What is your Dream? What have you always wanted to
do? Why do you exist? What is your reason for living? What do you imagine yourself
doing? What is your hearts desire? These questions all ask the same thing in different
ways to help draw out/define your Life’s Purpose. Purpose is when you know and
understand what you were born to accomplish. God has created each person with a
unique purpose. God is a God of action based on purpose. Psalm 33:11 says, “The
plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations,”
Did Jesus have a clear purpose? In John 18:37 Jesus said, “For this reason I was born,
and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth.” Do you have a clear purpose?
If so write it in the space below. If not take a quick minute and write what you think it
may be. You can refine it later.
My Purpose is……
From your purpose flows a vision for what you want to accomplish with your life.
Vision is when you see your purpose in your mind by faith and begin to imagine it.
Vision is the ability to see farther than your physical eyes can look – to see not just what
is, but what can be and to make it a reality. Vision is a conception that is inspired by
God in the heart of a human. Vision is seeing the future before it comes into being. It is
a mental picture of your destiny. Vision is the primary motivator of human action,
everything that we do should be because of the vision God has placed in our hearts.
Without vision life has not sense of direction, activity no meaning, time has no purpose
and resources have no application. Vision is the prerequisite for passion and the source
of persistence. When you have vision, you know how to stay in the race and complete it.
What does it look like when you accomplish your purpose?
With a clear vision we can develop goals that help us toward fulfilling our purpose.
Goals are measurable steps we map out on the journey towards accomplishing your
vision. To reach those goals we must develop plans see Habakkuk 2:1-4.
