Introduction to C++

To start writing a new program in Visual C++, do the following:
a. Click on the File menu and choose New, then Project. This
gives you the dialog box to create one.
b. Choose Visual C++ à Win32à Win32 Console Application.

c. Name your project with the appropriate name and click
OK.
d. You will be prompt with the following wizard and go to
Application Setting.
e. Follow the following setting and click Finish.

3. Creating Source File
Now that we have a project, we need to create a file to hold our C++
code.
a. Go to Solution Explorer and you will find 3 folders as follow:

b. Right click folder Source File à go to Add à go to New Item.
c. You will be prompt with the following screenshot. Go to Visual C+
+ à Code à C++ File (.cpp)
d. Type your file name (in this case, name it with tutorial.cpp) and
click Add.

e. If you want to add another new file into existing Project, make
sure you remove the existing file first before repeating step b, c
and d.
