2. Learning Events:
I successfully completed 6 online events and obtained certificates for these courses.
•Podcasting in the classroom
•Exploiting Web 2.0
•Internet Safety and you
•Nanotechnology
•Web based video
•Creating Music in eTwinning
3. Supporting Teachers
I have supported many teachers in their etwinning projects where they
communicate and collaborate with teachers from other countries. These
projects have equipped educators with ICT skills to be able to communicate,
create and share.
Some of the teachers I
supported have been awarded
eTwinning Quality Labels
granted to teachers with
excellent eTwinning projects.
They indicate that the project
has reached a certain national
and European standard.
One particular LSA has not only been awarded
the National quality label but also the European
quality label.
4. •EMBED – Best Use of ICT Practice Awards is an exhibition of good
eLearning practices by Maltese schools.
•It is an annual event and has become the spark in initiating
innovative practice in both primary and secondary schools.
•This event incorporates workshops for anyone visiting, with hands on
activities making this an interactive, challenging, learning experience
for both students and teachers alike.

Research Design and Methodology
12. Research Project:
Title: Investigating the impact of teachers’ educational beliefs, attitudes and
pedagogy on the use of educational technology, innovation and e-learning in
Maltese primary schools.
Tutor: Celia O’Hagan
Findings and recommendations:
-The lack of involvement from school administrators, lack of support from e-
Learning teachers and curricular demands are the major detriments teachers
face in embracing new pedagogies.
-School administrators who show technological engagement, take into
account teacher beliefs and values, and have appropriate support to foster e-
learning, contribute to the enhancement of an environment appropriate for
21st century learners
-A framework of strategies has been developed to guide policy makers and
administrators into creating an environment which nurtures teachers’
constructivist values, leading to a gradual change most needed in education
today
