wide range of industries. Robert F. Bernstock has also lived in numerous cities in the United States
and Canada, and has volunteered and contributed time to many local civic and non-profit
organizations.
Since 1996 Robert F. Bernstock has been a board member on more than ten publicly traded and
privately held companies. Additionally, he has served on numerous advisory boards of privately held
companies. A partial list of the Boards on which Robert F. Bernstock has served includes: First Brands
Corporation, Vlasic Foods International, the Pantry Inc., VerticalNet, and Atlas Commerce.
Since 1994 Robert F. Bernstock has been a Named Executive Officer (NEO) with four public
companies and one federal government organization, each with sales revenue of more than one
billion dollars. Robert F. Bernstock has held the positions of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), President
and Chief Operating Officer, Division President, and General Manager with these five organizations.
From 1993 to 1996 Robert F. Bernstock was President of the International Grocery Division of the
Campbell Soup Company. Over this timeframe the sales revenue of the International Grocery
Division was approximately $1.5 billion. This division had operations in fourteen countries on five
continents and about 12,000 employees. During the next two years Robert F. Bernstock was the
President of the U.S. Grocery Division, and during 1997 and 1998 he was one of the two Executive
Vice Presidents of the Campbell Soup Company.
In 1998, Robert F. Bernstock was appointed by the Campbell’s Board of Directors as President and
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vlasic Foods International, a public company spin-off from Campbell
Soup. As the leader of Vlasic Foods International, Robert F. Bernstock was responsible for a $1.5
billion publicly traded company with 9,000 employees and nine separate businesses with operations
in five countries.
Robert F. Bernstock joined the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in 2003 as the President of the North
American Consumer business. During 2004 his responsibilities increased and he was appointed as
the President of North America. In 2005 Robert F. Bernstock was promoted to be the President and
Chief Operating Officer of Scotts Miracle-Gro.
