The document outlines plans for a photoshoot with the following key details:
The theme is affordable stylish winter clothing. The shoot will feature model Wendy Bingham wearing various outfits at different locations around Manchester. Legal and ethical issues that could arise include trespassing on private property, so shoots will only take place in public areas. Intellectual property rights must also be respected by ensuring any logos or trademarks in images are covered or hidden. Legal and Ethical Issues
Trespass- Trespass is the law which prevents people from trespassing on land which is not
owned by them or is private land. This will be done in my images by preventing me from
going onto private land or out of bounds areas. The images will not be taken on private land
therefor I don’t need to worry about asking for permission.
Intellectual Property Rights
Trademarks and Labels- A trademark has to be covered because the logo or image could
come under the copyright act which can then be used to possibly sue the company for using
there trademark without permission. Any trademarks in my images will be covered smartly
by clothing positions. For example if a logo was to appear on cloths and could been seen on
the photo, the model or camera would have to change position or angel to hide the logo or
have it not be seen by the camera meaning that the logo shall be covered or hidden during
the photoshoot.
2. Copyrights
Copyright is the law which will prevent me from using other peoples work in my
images/photos. Therefor meaning everything I do must be original and be my work. If this is
not followed and the images I take are other peoples work then companies could claim the
images for copyright which could lead to a fine. Therefor my advert will need to be unique
to others.
Ethical Issues
My adverts are trying to represent the idea that charity clothing can come cheap and still
look good on everyday people. This will be done by having cloths that everyday people wear
but then in the advert show them off like there something completely different that models
can wear. Then show the low prices of the cloths and how they can be purchased from a
charity shop. The model in the advert will be looking confident and happy about the way
she is dressed to persuade the idea that she is proud of the way she is dressing. This will
encourage people to try it out and feel the same about the way they are dressed.
