2. How old are you?
There was a large majority of 16 year olds in my
survey. I asked 8 16 years old, one 17 year old
and an 18 year old. This was unfair because
more sixteen year olds were involved in the
survey however I could not find a large number
of people of different ages to ask.

I asked an equal amount of males and females
(5). This would ensure that the results that I
obtained from the survey were fair and were a
fair reflection of what both sexes thought about

essential feature of a
college magazine?
I got a wide range of results when I asked this
question to my target audience. The majority of
answers we’re general college information and
things that relate to school. This is
understandable as one would expect a college
magazine to contain information about the
college. I did get some more abstract results like
information on ICT and one student commented
that a photographs would be essential.

I got very similar results when I put this question
to my target audience.

6. What would be your ideal
feature in a magazine?
When I asked the target audience this question I
had a large number of results. Many students
wanted to know about college lifestyle and some
wanted to know about celebritys and celebrity
related topics. However I did receive some more
abstarct ideas like an Agony Aunt section and a
day in the life of a sixth form student.
7. What style of font would be
best for a college
magazine?
When I put this question to the target auidence
they came up with a relativley small group of
fonts that were not too different from one
another. An improvement for this question would
be to include some examples of fonts as some
students did not remembeTra allny y front styles.

9. Improvements
To improve this survey I could make the
questions more closed to make it easier for the
target audience to answer. This would also get
rid of any silly ideas that come up. To improve
this survey further I would also ask a wider age
group as this would give me an insight into what
different age groups would find intresting in a
college magazine.
