3. Teachers need to:
O Focus on all types of learners.
O Provide students with feedback.
O Generate discussions that present both
sides of an issue.
O Assign homework that will help students
be prepared for the real world.
4. Types of Learners
O Kinesthetic – learning by doing
(individual/group projects and labs)
O Auditory – learning by listening (lectures)
O Social – learning by discussions (group
projects and discussions)
O Tactile – learning by touching (labs)
O Visual – learning by seeing (watching
educational videos)
5. Feedback Should Include:
O Why didn’t the student receive 100%?
O What did the student do right?
O Did you notice a pattern of what the
student made mistakes on?
For example: The student needs help with
writing a thesis.
6. Discussions
O Put the students into small groups and
make them answer a few questions. Walk
around the classroom to hear what they
have to say. Make sure that they’re on the
right page. Then, come together as a
class and answer the questions. Try to
include both sides of an issue.
O Talk about the implications and
ramifications for every topic.
7. Homework
O Every assignment should be practical.
The goal is to make students remember
the material after they graduate from k-12.
