Cancer Crusaders Club - Breast Self-Exam Club
BSE Promoters and Practitioners Awards

Project launched: January 15, 2022
The primary objective of the Club / Awards is to
promote early detection of breast cancers
among Filipino women.

To promote / advocate the practice of a health
habit called Regular BSE among Filipino women
so that in case a breast cancer strikes, they will
be able to catch it early enough and have it
treated as soon as possible.

1st Awarding: December 4, 2022
Breast Cancer Crusaders promoting BSE – P1,000 Award
Breast Self-Examination Practitioners doing monthly BSE for at least 9 months – P500 Award
Ayuda for breast cancer discovered early through monthly BSE – P5,000 Award

Sample Feedback
Being one of the coordinator, I’m able to educate my family and friends on how important to
have a monthly BSE. This will help oneself to detect any possible problems earlier especially
with our family who have history of cancer. My auntie and my 1st cousin just died of breast
cancer 2 years ago. I wish that by practicing this, no more from my family will undergo the
same thing I have undergone and I wouldn’t want to loss anyone from my family with this
sickness again.
Instead of doing BSE occasionally and haphazardly, the project gave me a chance to do BSE the
right way on a regular basis. I will encourage folks and friends to do BSE and perhaps ask them
to join us in this project.

Sample Feedback
This Project on Regular BSE will help a lot of women in the early detection of breast cancer and
also alleviate unnecessary visits to the doctor. I will promote BSE among my friends by
teaching them how to properly perform BSE and by telling them the many benefits of doing
BSE on a regular basis.
The benefits of this project regarding regular BSE will help a lot of women in the early
detection of breast cancer, especially those who doesn’t have the means to pay mammogram
or ultrasound on a regular basis.

Starting January 1, 2023, there will be issuance of free membership
certification in the Cancer Crusaders Club. All cancer patients of Dr. ROJoson
may request for such a certification.

Cancer Crusaders Club – Talk to a Cancer Crusader
Starting January 2023, we will formally resume and will make more
structured our old activity (we actually started this in 1988) of providing
psychological support to cancer patients by having cancer patients talk to
each other.
We will have a pool of cancer patients who have adjusted well to their cancer
disease and who are willing to provide counselling to cancer patients in need
of psychological support.
We shall call them Cancer Crusader-Counselors.

Cancer patients in need of such counselling will communicate with Ms. Beth
Tumambing who in turn will refer them to the Cancer Crusader-Counselors.
The counseling can be done through Facebook messenger, Viber chat,
cellphones, telephones or emails.
So, if you are a cancer patient in need of another cancer patient to talk to for
psychological support, contact Ms. Beth Tumambing (8522-47-13 and
Facebook messenger – Beth Tumambing).

Project Cancer Journey Sharing
Project Motivational Songs for Cancer Crusaders
We have already more than 50 cancer journey sharing posted in the Internet
which any cancer patients can read and gain inspirations.
The first of each kind in the Philippines!
We will continue to have Cancer Journey Sharing.
We are considering giving incentive awards to ROJoson Cancer Crusaders who
will do video cancer journey sharing starting 2023.
We may include the Motivational Singing of ROJoson Cancer Crusaders.
