2. Project Manager 2004-2009
NASA Marshall Space Flight Center / Intergraph
Managed the Integration of 33 NASA databases and applications into an intuitive
GIS enabled web portal that reduced data collection time from 1 week to less
than 2 hours, resulting in a labor savings of $4 million per year. Databases and
applications utilized included: ESRI ArcGIS and ArcSDE, SQL Server, Oracle,
Asset Management (IBM Maximo), Facilities Management (TRIRIGA), Security,
and CAD (Bentley MicroStation) files.
Managed project tasks, scope, and schedule resulting in deliverables being on
time, within budget, and meeting all expectations. Wrote technical scope,
requirements, and specifications. Documented system code and architecture,
data models, training material, and maintenance and user manuals. Presented
project results at technical conferences in order to facilitate funding for new
projects.
Instituted Configuration Control processes and database to manage application
development, system requirements, risk analysis, software function
development, and application modifications, resulting in continuous
improvement of applications through the project life cycle.

Navy Region Southwest / Intergraph
Managed Programmers, CAD (MicroStation) operators, and subcontractors in the
development and implementation of a GIS web portal and data management
application that accessed GIS and Asset data from 26 bases for the Navy’s
Utilities Department. These applications greatly reduced data collection time,
increased data accuracy, and improved decision making.
