This document outlines 31 steps to install and configure Norton Internet Security on Windows 8.1. 2. Step 1: This Slide describes how to install Norton Internet Security in
Windows 8.1 OS. Firstly, download Norton Internet Security from
official site.

3. Step 2: For more steps, please keep in mind how to run “Control
Panel” in Windows 8.1. Right click the “Windows icon” and click
“Control Panel” as shown.

4. Step 3: Now, when the Norton Internet Security Setup file have
downloaded, please Right Click on it and select “Properties”.

5. Step 4: Switch to “Digital Signatures” tab, select “Symantec
Corporation” and press “Details” button.

6. Step 5: On “General” tab have to be shown “Digital Signature

press “Right Arrow” icon to the right from “Agree & Install” title.

10. Step 9: Norton Internet Security Setup will inform us about installing
progress.

11. Step 10: When the Norton Internet Security installation will be
completed, press “Right Arrow” icon to the right of “Explore” title.

12. Step 11: Now, Norton Internet Security Setup program will ask you
about 4 main things most useful during the Norton Internet Security
using, press “Continue” button for it.

Norton Internet Security, and Secure Trust Level percentage.

14. Step 13: This step allow to Manage Norton software installation on
other computers.

16. Step 15: At fourth step, we will know about the Norton Internet
Security further features to get extra protection for your PC or
notebook. Press “Finish” button.

17. Step 16: To complete the Norton Internet Security activation, please
enter your e-mail address, press “Next” button.

18. Step 17: To become as registered user with Norton account, pleas fill
the next form, then press “Next” button.

process, click “Close” link as shown.

24. Step 23: To Pin to Taskbar the Norton Internet Security program,
satisfy select it from context menu for program’s icon on a Desktop.

26. Step 25: By selecting from a context menu of Window Icon or simply
by pressing “CTRL+Alt+Delete” key combinations, Task Manager could

27. Step 26: If you do not want to use Norton Internet Security in
Windows 8.1 OS, please:
1. Run “Control Panel” – “Programs” – “Programs and Features”
2. Select “Norton Internet Security” program title.
3. Press “Uninstall/Change” button

28. Step 27: To completely remove all the Norton Products, click to “Please
remove all user data”

29. Step 28: Norton Uninstall utility will inquire you about keeping
“Norton Identity Safe” program, if you need to uninstall this program
also, please click “No, thanks” link, as shown.

30. Step 29: Norton Uninstall utility informs about left over days of your
Norton Internet Security subscription. To confirm uninstallation, press
“Right Arrow” to the right of “Next” title.

31. Step 30: Norton Uninstall utility will start executing, viewing
uninstalling percentage progress.

32. Step 31: To complete uninstallation process, you need to restart your
computer. Press “Restart Now”.

33. Step 32: After restarting, please check changed preferences:
1. Select “Control Panel” – “System and Security” – “Action Center”
2. Expand “Security” listing if it is hidden
3. Check “Virus protection” is in “On” and “Spyware and unwanted software
protection is in “On”” also, and the “Windows Defender is helping to
