1. A SONG OF REJOICING
Luke 1 : 44-56

2. Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the song of angry men
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again?
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes......

3. Mary’s Song
And Mary said:
“My soul glorifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me
blessed,

4. for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
holy is his name.
His mercy extends to those who fear him,
from generation to generation.
He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their
inmost thoughts.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.

5. He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
remembering to be merciful
to Abraham and his descendants forever,
just as he promised our ancestors.”
Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three
months and then returned home.

6. “My soul doth MAGNIFY the Lord,
and my spirit hath REJOICED in God
my Savior.”

7. HALLELUJAH – A SONG OF REJOICING
A) IN WHOM?
“…in God MY Savior” ( vs. 46)
Jesus name above all names
Beautiful Savior
Glorious Lord
Emmanuel, God is with us
Blessed Redeemer
Living Word.

8. B) FOR WHAT?
1) GOD HAD BEEN MINDFUL OF HER
( Stanza one- vs. 44-49)
He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
And hears me when I call
I have a Maker
He Formed My Heart
Before even time began
My life was in his hands

9. 2) GOD HAD REMEMBERED HIS PEOPLE
( Stanza two - vs. 50-55)
HALLELUJAH … IT’S A SONG OF REJOICING!
