tanks, and tires with 13 inch wheels.
• P2 Model has a containment frame, fork pockets
and external drains.
• Drawbars are made of strong tubular steel with

P2 FlexAir Machine is built with removable
drawbar and running gear so it can easily be
mounted on a truck bed or any other utility type
vehicle installation.
It has fork lift pockets for lifting and floor mounting,
a full containment frame and external drains for
all fluids. The FlexAir can be a cost effective
replacement for a dedicated purpose built Utility
model compressor.

Product Description
WEATHER-ALL™ COMPRESSOR FLUID is designed for all types of rotary screw air compressors used
in varying conditions encountered in the construction industry.
Sullivan-Palatek’s Weather-All is formulated as a 5W-20 Multi-Viscosity fluid with additives for maximum
protection against scuffing and wear to bearings and rotors.
Extensive testing has shown this fluid exhibits excellent resistance to foaming, oil oxidation and corrosion.
Special attention has been made toward limiting rust of ferrous metals and corrosion of yellow metals.
Product Features and Benefits
Our Weather-All lubricant will provide extended life compared to other brand oils.
Weather-All fluid provides quick water separation which helps protect equipment in wet and humid
service environments.
Our compressor fluid has an excellent viscosity index (180), as well as, low pour point (-40°F).
This specially formulated multi-viscosity compressor fluid provides wear control for steel and brass parts
when operating at maximum pressure ratings, resulting in excellent compressor operation.
Weather-All Compressor 5W-20 Fluid combines the superior additive technology and quality hydrocarbon
based oils for Extended Life and is a custom-formulated lubricant specifically designed for long life under
the severe, demanding conditions normally encountered in recirculating systems such as rotary screw
compressors.

This document explains product support policies and procedures that apply to Portable Air Compressor products.
Our objective is to provide superior product support and assist you in achieving your business goals. We provide
superior spare parts availability, accurate technical information and prompt warranty claim resolution. We
have established these operating guidelines and procedures for the conduct of business. As Sullivan-Palatek
distributors, your understanding of the policies and procedures is important for efficient day-to-day business
between our companies.
The handbook is brief. We have addressed all of the important issues and frequently asked questions. If any
issue is unclear please contact us for clarification. A list of key contact persons is included with this manual.
Everyone at Sullivan-Palatek is eager to assist you.

A word about older products...
Our distributors are occasionally asked to provide service and repair on older Sullivan products. Many parts
available today can be used to make these repairs. However, not all parts are stocked or readily available. Contact
our Product Support or Part Department staff to determine if we can help. Our general policy is as follows:
We will continue to provide support and spare parts for products manufactured before 1998 as long as a
reasonable demand exists and sources are available. Prices charged for technical documentation and support
for older products reflects our costs for providing these services. We do not stock parts for which no sustainable
demand exists. Non-current parts for machines produced before 1998 may not be available or may only be
available under special order terms. An example is certain compressor enclosure components (fabricated sheet
metal) for models no longer in production. Orders for parts in these categories, if a source is available, will be
accepted on a pre-paid, non-cancelable and non-returnable basis. Some time may be required to obtain current
pricing. Delivery times may be extended and will be advised at the time of order.

The parts department operates from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Central Time, Monday through Friday. Orders received
before 12:00 noon will usually be shipped on the same day. In emergency “machine down” situations we will
make every reasonable effort to ship parts ordered as late as 3:00 PM. Our ability to do this will be determined by
the volume of orders in process on the particular day.
Sullivan-Palatek participates in the SmartEquip online system. Distributors with established Sullivan-
Palatek accounts are encouraged to obtain a SmartEquip login user name and password. This enables
them to enter orders electronically. Contact the Parts Department about incentives for using SmartEquip
and to obtain a password. Entering orders using SmartEquip is easy and includes all prompts necessary to
provide the information we need to process your order. Access to the Sullivan-Palatek SmartEquip web site
can be found at www.SullivanPalatek.com and click on SmartEquip or go directly to our SmartEquip web
site at www.smartequip.net/sullivan/index.html. Anyone can enter as a guest to look up information and
review illustrated parts lists.
Shipping and Freight
We ship F.O.B. our plant. Unless specified otherwise we will ship orders by UPS Ground or Motor Freight depending
on size and weight. Freight charges will be prepaid and added to the invoice. Expedited shipping is available by
UPS, Federal Express, DHL and others. Discuss your requirements with our Parts Department representatives.
Payment Terms
Established accounts that are current have “open account” status with an established line of credit. Standard
terms of payment are net 30 days. Sullivan-Palatek does accept Master Card and Visa in instances where no
customer account has been established, and we are unable to help by referring a customer to an established
distributor for support.
Damaged Freight
• All orders are shipped F.O.B., Michigan City, IN. This means that the title to the goods transfers to the
consignee when the freight carrier accepts the goods for transport at our plant.

• The consignee must make freight damage claims to the delivering carrier.
Do not return damaged shipments to Sullivan-Palatek.
• Contact our traffic department if you require assistance or the delivering carrier fails to meet its obligation
under ICC rules.
• You have a limited time within which to file claims and report concealed damage. Contact the delivering carrier
to determine these time limits.
Returns and Adjustments
Notify the Parts Department of errors, under-shipments or defective parts received within 15
days of the shipment date. All sales are considered final after 15 days from shipment.
Do not return parts to Sullivan-Palatek without first obtaining a Return Stock Authorization
(RSA). Shipments received without an RSA are subject to being refused by our Receiving
Department.
Contact our Parts Department to request an RSA. We will accept parts found to be defective upon receipt
(excluding freight damaged parts) or parts shipped in error (meaning not according to your purchase order). We
will also accept current parts that are surplus in your inventory if they were purchased for stock within the past 12
months. Credit toward future purchases will be allowed as follows:
Defective Parts and Parts Shipped in Error
For parts found to be defective upon receipt (excluding freight damaged parts) or parts shipped in error, notify us
within 15 days of shipment from our plant and we will issue full credit, including prepaid return freight, upon return
of the part(s) in new, undamaged condition.
Surplus Spare Parts Inventory
For surplus spare parts inventory, established distributors who buy spare parts for their stock to support Sullivan-
Palatek products may request the return of stock in excess of their market needs. Parts will be accepted and credit
issued for the net price paid for the part(s) less a restocking charge. Proof of purchase will be required (invoice or
packing slip number). Certain types of parts are non-returnable. These include common hardware, gaskets, seals,
fluids, and any items with limited shelf life. Parts identified as non-returnable at the time of order, non-current
parts, and special-order parts are not returnable. Each line item must have an extended value (quantity X price)
of at least $10. Authorized returns must be received, freight prepaid, within 45 days of the date of the return
authorization or the RSA is void.
To receive prompt credit and avoid complications, remember the following:
• Always obtain an RSA
• Ship returns freight pre-paid
• Mark all boxes with RSA number and enclose a copy of the RSA as a packing list
• Surplus parts returned must be in new, undamaged condition.
Parts Prices
We publish a Parts Price List that contains prices of frequently ordered parts. Prices of unlisted parts can be
obtained by calling the Parts Department. A general price review is accomplished periodically and prices are
subject to change without notice. The price list is available on CD as an MS Excel spreadsheet and Adobe PDF
format. To obtain copies of the Parts Price List contact the Parts Department.
Recommended Parts Lists
Recommended parts lists are published in each User’s Manual for current products. These lists contain basic
recommendations. For special situations our Service Department can prepare custom recommendations. Contact
our Parts Department for assistance.

Warranty Policy
Warranty Duration
Sullivan-Palatek, Inc. warrants its portable compressor products to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for the following periods:
• Overall — 1 year, unlimited hours
• Airend installed in a standard pressure (100 psi) and high pressure (150 psi) portable compressor — 3 years,
unlimited hours
• Airend installed in a “Very High” pressure (350 psi or more) compressor — 2 years, unlimited hours
• Remanufactured Air Ends purchased to replace worn or damaged — 1 year
Warranty Commencement
To initiate the warranty the original purchaser, or the authorized Sullivan-Palatek distributor on the behalf of the
purchaser, is required to complete the warranty registration form provided in the information and manuals folder
with all new products. The warranty period begins with delivery of the product to the first user, whether as a sale or
a rental. The maximum warranty obligation by Sullivan-Palatek is the stated warranty period plus 6 months from
shipment of the product from our factory. See the product warranty statement for details.
Diesel Engines
The engine manufacturer warrants the engines installed in Sullivan-Palatek portable air compressors. Consult the
written engine warranties for details. Registration of the engine for warranty with the manufacturer will ensure
prompt warranty service from engine dealers. Customers should contact the nearest appropriate engine dealer
to obtain prompt warranty service and repairs or to purchase extended warranty coverage. Note that John Deere
engines in D185 through D375 compressor models have warranty coverage for up to 5 years or 5000 hours
without additional cost. See the warranty information with each compressor or consult our Service Department for
details.
Airends
The 3-year airend warranty specifically covers the stator and rotor assembly. The warranty period for related or
attached components such as drive coupling, inlet valve, air-oil separator system and shaft seal is one year.
What Is Covered
Sullivan-Palatek obligations under its warranty include:
• Repair or replace, at our option and subject to the return of failed parts when requested, any parts found to be
defective in material or workmanship that fail within the warranty period.
Credit will be issued at distributor net price for parts approved under warranty.
• Pay reasonable labor at our published rate to repair or replace the failed part or parts.
• For portable compressors with two or three axles (currently 750 cfm and higher) pay reasonable travel costs
to make field repairs. Travel is not reimbursed for field repairs to Utility and single axle compressor products
(currently 185 cfm through 375 cfm). Travel cost reimbursement is allowed up to a 100-mile radius and 4
hours labor per round trip. Only one trip per warranty incident will be reimbursed.
What Is Not Covered
• The cost of prescribed and normal maintenance and service
• Consequences of negligence, misuse, accident, improper application or storage
• Consequences of any modification or alteration not approved by Sullivan-Palatek

• Necessary labor and other costs related to removing accessories or attachments installed by the distributor or
customer to gain access for warranty repairs or troubleshooting
• Premium or overtime labor to make repairs at the request of the customer
• Labor costs in excess of what Sullivan-Palatek considers necessary or customary for a given repair
• Incidental travel costs such as meals, lodging, tolls and other similar costs
• Travel cost necessary to service a compressor located more than 100 miles from the servicing distributor’s
location
• Outside services or repairs not authorized by Sullivan-Palatek
• Purchase of repair parts, other than normal shop supplies, from other than Sullivan-Palatek to make
warrantable repairs unless approved in advance by Sullivan-Palatek in writing
Customer Responsibility
The following elements are the responsibility of the customer/ distributor under the Sullivan-Palatek warranty.
• Provide written notice of warrantable failure within the warranty period.
• Make the product available for repair at an authorized Sullivan-Palatek repair facility.
• Pay all costs of returning failed parts to Sullivan-Palatek when requested.
• Pay shipping cost for replacement parts.

Request for Warranty Adjustment (RWA)
Sullivan-Palatek distributors and rental companies established as direct accounts are authorized to perform
warranty repairs. Upon completion of the repair, a Request for Warranty Adjustment (RWA) can be submitted for
reimbursement in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Sullivan-Palatek warranty.
Warranty Adjustment Qualification
Only failures occurring during the warranty period will be considered. Claims submitted more than 30 days after
the warranty period has expired will be denied. Hours reported on a claim are subject to verification. Include the
service work order (distributor work order) with the RWA.
Hold failed parts for possible return to Sullivan-Palatek until claim has been settled. Maintain parts in the “as
failed” condition and fully assembled for our evaluation.
Do not disassemble airends or parts. Disassembly will void the warranty and may result in
additional cost for an exchange airend.
Only new or remanufactured parts or components furnished by Sullivan-Palatek are to be used for warranty
repairs. Proof of purchase of replacement parts is required and will be established by identifying the Invoice
Number or Packing List Number of the order for warranty parts. The claim form provides space to list the invoice
number for parts purchased to make repairs.
Submitting Request for Warranty Adjustment (RWA)
Submit RWA within 30 days of completion of repairs.
Timely submission of claims is important. Claims submitted long after the repair date are difficult to verify and
resolve. Amounts paid on late claims may be less than requested if verification and support data are missing or
unavailable.
The form must be completed with no fields omitted. Incomplete RWA’s will be returned and processing suspended
pending the receipt of the missing information.

Return Stock Authorization (RSA)
Do not return parts without a Request Stock Authorization (RSA) and always include the RSA
with the parts being returned.
Sullivan-Palatek will request that parts, other than air ends, be returned only when necessary to fairly and properly
resolve the claim. All failed air ends must be returned to receive full warranty adjustment or the allowable core
credit.
Parts must be returned in the “as failed” condition and fully assembled. This is critical for fair warranty
determination and correcting problems to improve our products for your benefit as a user.
Claims are held in suspense pending return of parts when required. Parts must be promptly returned after receipt
of the RSA to ensure timely processing of the related claim. The RWA and RSA will be suspended for 20 days from
date of issue. Parts should be received at our factory within that time.
Warranty Adjustment Approval
Technical assistance and advice on the conduct and execution of repair does not constitute warranty approval.
Only after all facts are known will Sullivan-Palatek determine the warranty outcome. We recommend that the
servicing distributor make this clear to the customer and obtain a commitment from the customer to pay for any
non-warranty repairs.
The preceding is only to assist in the administration of warranty coverage and is not a warranty statement. Only
the written warranty will control the terms and conditions.

Warranty
Sullivan-Palatek, Inc. warrants its new portable air compressor products to be free from defects in material and
workmanship, subject to the following provisions:
Warranty Registration: To validate the warranty for each product the purchaser shall complete and return the warranty
registration form within 30 days of delivery to the first user or rental.
Warranty Period: The warranty period for applicable Sullivan-Palatek products is as follows (subject to the Exclusions and
Limitations noted below):
Air ends on new machines – stator and rotor assembly: Single stage compressor models: the first to expire; 42 months
from shipment by Sullivan-Palatek or 36 months from delivery to the first user. Two stage high pressure compressor
models: the first to expire; 30 months from shipment by Sullivan-Palatek or 24 months from delivery to the first user.
Remainder of new portable air compressor machines: the first to expire; 18 months from shipment by Sullivan-Palatek or
12 months from delivery to the first user.
Parts, accessories and attachments sold separately from machines, excluding warranty replacement parts and hand
tools: the first to expire; 6 months from shipment by Sullivan-Palatek or 3 months from delivery to the first user.
Warranty replacement parts: remainder of the original warranty period of the replaced part.
Sullivan-Palatek’s Obligations: Sullivan-Palatek’s exclusive obligations with respect to breach of warranty are (i) to repair
or replace (at Sullivan-Palatek option and subject to return of defective parts) any defective part, (ii) to pay the reasonable
cost of making the repair or reinstalling the replacement part and (iii) only for air compressors having two or more axles,
to reimburse up to four hours travel labor at the travel reimbursement rate and mileage at the mileage reimbursement
rate for up to 200 miles (100 miles travel radius) per event to make repairs.
Customer’s Responsibility: As a condition to Sullivan-Palatek’s obligations under this warranty, Customer shall (i) give
Sullivan-Palatek written notice of any warrantable failure of any Sullivan-Palatek product within the applicable warranty
period, (ii) make the product available for repair at a Sullivan-Palatek authorized repair facility, (iii) pay all costs of
returning failed parts to Sullivan-Palatek, (iv) pay shipping costs for replacement parts, (v) pay reasonable travel expenses
for field repairs performed at customer’s request and (vi) pay the costs of investigating performance complaints that are
not covered by this warranty.
Exclusions and Limitations: Air end seals are not warranted. Engines, tires and batteries are not warranted by Sullivan-
Palatek and are warranted only by the manufacturers of these components. Sullivan-Palatek has no obligation for
product failures or defects resulting from overloading, misuse, neglect, accident, failure to comply with Sullivan-Palatek’s
product manual or failure to install product improvements provided by Sullivan-Palatek. Use on a product of attachments,
accessories or service parts not supplied or recommended by Sullivan-Palatek may, at Sullivan-Palatek’s option, void the
warranty of that product. Sullivan-Palatek has no obligation to pay costs of returning defective parts to Sullivan-Palatek or
shipping replacement parts to customer.
THIS WARRANTY IS SULLIVAN-PALATEK’S ONLY WARRANTY OF ITS PORTABLE AIR COMPRESSOR PRODUCTS AND IS
IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR
OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXCLUDED. SULLIVAN-PALATEK HAS NO OBLIGATION UNDER THIS
WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE (REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION) FOR SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL
DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS OR LOST INCOME.
This warranty applies to all Sullivan-Palatek portable air compressors shipped after April 1, 2011 unless expressly
superseded by a later warranty. In the event of any conflict between this warranty and earlier warranty statements, the
terms of this warranty will apply.
